Sara Benincasa, a comedian and author of a bunch of books including a YA retelling of The Great Gatsby, has written a book about Hillary Clinton's cheerful, wholesome running mate. It's called Tim Kaine is Your Nice Dad: A Work of Dad Fiction, and it's about how Tim Kaine seems like a really nice dad (he does). She announced that this was a real thing today on Instagram:
I wrote a book. In four hours. Extraordinary comic book artist Robert Hack generously pitched in to work overnight to create this fantastic throwback cover. I promise it is silly, funny, very kind, and absolutely worth $2.99. Half of my profits will go directly to Great Expectations, a VA community colleges initiative that helps young people who age out of foster care to get training for jobs. And Robert told me to donate his fee directly to the cause. What's really cool about it and the reason I picked that charity is that Anne Holton, who was until recently the Secretary of Education for the Commonwealth of Virginia, used to run the organization. And her husband just happens to be @timkaine. It will be up on Kindle later today. #timkaine
