Not everyone (hell not... most people? yeah, not most people) share my feelings about Terrence Malick, which basically boil down to "I'll watch everything he makes, repeatedly, slack-jawed and wide-eyed like some kind of idiot." (Hell, I even liked Knight of Cups, which is currently strutting around with a mighty 46 percent on Rotten Tomatoes.) Which means I'm already a sucker for for Malick's upcoming Voyage of Time. The first trailer is below. Your milage will almost certainly vary, depending on how much you liked the parts of Tree of Life that felt like you were watching a video in your seventh-grade science class.
Voyage of Time is coming out in two different versions: An IMAX version that's 40 minutes long and narrated by Brad Pitt (starting October 7, that one will be in IMAX theaters only, though that term doesn't mean much these days), and a 90-minute version narrated by Cate Blanchett that has yet to get a release date, but will presumably have some sort of wider release. I'll probably watch both, slack-jawed and wide-eyed like some kind of idiot.
