Guys! As you better know by now, the annual cavalcade of laughs known as the Bridgetown Comedy Festival starts this Wednesday! SQUEEEEEE!! And as usual, this ever-growing festival has a fantastic lineup, and the Portland Mercury is proud to be sponsoring our very own stage this year at the Bossanova Ballroom (722 E Burnside). And oh boy, what a lineup we have! The Mercury stage will be featuring a special edition of Earthquake Hurricane (with Greg Behrendt, Alex Falcone, Anthony Lopez, Bri Pruett, and more), Supernova (with Zak Toscani, Amy Miller, and more), Hey Ladies (with Morgan Murphy, Sara Schaefer, Laura Kightlinger, and more) as well as other world famous acts! That being said, you should definitely check out this show: The Court of I, Anonymous. As you know, the Mercury’s “I, Anonymous” column is famous for publishing anonymous rants and confessions from our readers. But the Bridgetown Comedy Festival’s “The Court of I, Anonymous” takes it one step further! Host Bri Pruett will read the wildest, uncensored I, Anonymous submissions, which will then be judged by our hilarious jury, Greg Behrendt, Clare O’Kane, and Curtis Cook. Watch some of the funniest people alive judge the most awful people... all for your enjoyment!
The Court of I, Anonymous will be in session THIS FRIDAY, JUNE 3, 6pm-7:30 pm, and tix are only $10. Get yours at the door—or if you're smart, get a full festival pass, cuz it's worth it!
