Add Kickstand Comedy Space to the list of local spaces where you can learn to play freeze tag. They announced the news on Facebook back in July, but it may have gotten lost in the shuffle of Improv Christmas the Stumptown Improv Festival:

BIG NEWS GUYS - As we've been hinting, Kickstand is expanding, so huge thanks to all of you who make our comedy scene so vibrant and amazing and allowed us to grow!!

So here's the big news!! As of today we will be pre-registering students for Kickstand Classes!
As part of our expansion, Kickstand has added Adam Trabka and Kara Moore to their leadership team and teaching staff. Together with Kickstand co-founders, Dylan Reiff and Garrett Palm, we bring over 40 years of combined improv experience from nationally recognized institutions such as iO Chicago, The Annoyance (Chicago), The Playground, (Chicago) The Magnet Theater (NYC), ColdTowne Theater (Austin), and the Upright Citizens Brigade (NYC/LA),

What our classes are about?!?!

Kickstand is committed to empowering our students to find their voice in comedy by learning the skills necessary to play effectively, supportively, listen zealously, and create honest and fun magic* on stage.
To pre-register for classes you can sign up at www.kickstandcomedy.org to hold your slot**
Registration for the first session of classes is now live with the first session set to begin on August 15th. To see full descriptions of all six-levels of the Kickstand Curriculum visit www.kickstandcomedy.org/classes

*Not actual wizard magic
**Kickstand has a hard 10-person cap for each class level so register early to guarantee your spot

This seems like a totally natural next step for the multiformat comedy space that actually used to be a classroom, and has been described by its founders as a "comedy gym" focused on incubating up and comers to the comedy and improv scenes.

Kickstand will offer a six-level improv curriculum, and organizers said via email this morning that classes are almost full. You can find out more about them here.
